I'm more into the animes where it has 1 boy and 5 girls genre. Such animes are like Love Hina, Happy Lesson and Sister Princess. The most popular one is Love Hina.
Love Hina is the story about Keitaro who failed to get into Tokyo University. Reason why he wanted to go there because he made a promise 15 years ago with a girl to go to TU (Tokyo University) and they would be together. So he's staying in a Girl's dormitory run by his Grandma and the story goes on. The manga version has 14 volumes. I suggest people read the manga first then watch the anime.

Love Hina the manga version is far yet the best manga I have ever read. It's been voted the number one manga in an anime convention in 2000. It's like on the top of the charts on manga lists. The mangas are 14 volumes in total. It's kind of different from the anime but still carries the same genre.
