For any anime fan, one of their best is Full Metal Alchemist. What is it? In a world different from ours, Alchemy is possible where you can transmutate materials into different materials. But in the process, you must present something of equal value to get what you want. Two brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric wanted to revive their dead mother. But the cost was deadly. Ed lost his leg and Al was taken away. Ed quickly transmutate Al's soul to an armour suit. Now the brother's are on a journey looking for the Philosopher's Stone to get back their body parts.
This anime would be defintly score 10s on its attributes. That includes animation, music, sound, enjoyment, plot and of course some comedy.
Watch it and see why everyone has voted Full Metal Alchemist to the top of the charts.

it is!! its amazing!!! i came in late in the series, so i don't understand a lot of it, but i still love it.

ok, thanx! how did ed get his arm and leg...er...chopped off?? and how did Al die (sorta) ?? and how did al and ed's mom die? sry...too many questions.

This isn't spoilers. Its meant to be known at the beginning when watching this anime.
Edward Elric, older brother
Alphonse Elric, Younger brother
Trishia Elric, Mother to Edward and Alphonse (I think thats her name)
In a different world, Alchemy exists in nature. Alchemy such as turning things into gold. But there are laws. Whenever you want something, you mut give in something of equal value to get what you want.
Ed and Al's mother died from this disease. Because she died, Al and Ed decided to revive her using Alchemy. Even though reviving dead people is against the law, the brothers still decided to go through it. To see their mother's smile.
During the transmutation of reviving their mother. Al's body and Ed's left leg was taken away to satisfied the equivalent trade to revive their mother. But it didn't go as what they expected.
In desperation, Ed used a piece of nearby armor suit to transmutate his brother's "soul" into the the armour suit. And in order to satisfy that, Ed's right arm was taken away to satisfy the equivalent trade.
So basically, the big guy in the armour suit is Al the whole time. No, he's not a machine, just a soul using the armour suit to move around. And Edward, had to get auto-mail, bioengineer parts to replace his arm and leg.
And the series shows Al and Ed going on a journey to get the Philosopher's stone to get back Al's body and Ed's arm and leg back.

There's Full Metal Alchemist movie coming out in July. It takes place right after the series. If you want to watch it, better off seeing the series first or you'll be completely confused.
